Prasat Muang Tham ruïnes in the North-East of Thailand marks one end of the Ancient Khmer Highway from Angkor nearby the border of Cambodia. It must have been an important city in the Khmer empire. Most buildings are from the late 11th to the late 12th century, built in the Baphuon, Bayon and Angkor Wat style. The first inventory of the ruins was done in 1901 by the French geographer Etienne Aymonier.
I catch these boys fishing with their self made fishing gear. Only one boy did noticed me :)
Photo taken June 1992 - Minolta X-700 SLR camera. No photoshop used
I LOVE everything about this: the ruins in the background, the boy's posture as he stands on a rock, the stick pole for fishing, and the little guy peeking at you getting his pic and his smile! Just a great shot.

Wat een leuke foto, dat is wat anders dan die vissers bij ons in de buurt die je dan ziet gaan met een complete aanhangwagen met een complete viswinkel:) achter de fiets!
I don't believe it's possible to comment on this better than it was put by Lucy_nka. But I want to add that your entire photostream is worth viewing. I discovered many favorites. I'm glad you post them all in a size that makes it possible to fully appreciate them.
Very cool place!
I love old ancient ruins of any kind.
This reminds me of King Louie's place in the Jungle Book movie.
Nice candid capture with the kids 2.
Great shot my friend.
; )
PS. No, I was not on Holiday....
I go there regularly since it's not 2 far away from where I live,
(1 hour) if I went on Holiday I'd rather go somewhere like this!
This is such a fab shot although the unbalanced building isn't just doing it for me. Something just doesn't seem right. The colours and everything else is fantastic though Ben. Just my opinion but hey what the hell do I know about scenerey pics :-)
Wonderful image, as usual there's lot's to look at. I wonder if that's the most efficient way of catching fish ... with a look out :) Love the composition too!
Fantastic shot!!!

This is very special: this monumental ancient building that no one ever before would have anticipated it could fall over and this frail little boy which seems to have been holding a perfect improbable balance for ages. Well done!
