This was one of the little coves near Porches, we took a wonder down on our second day in Portugal, no tripod, so used my flip-flops to balance the camera and keep it off the sand :) I tried for a few closer shots of the little boat in the moonlight but didn't quite work as planned.
But still, I like the low angle and the lovely moonlight on this one.
Nikon D300, Sigma 18-200 @ 18, f/13, ISO400, 20seconds.
Strobist info : Moon, far away.
There is a word in Arabic, 'kayf', it describes a feeling of intoxication with the beauty of the natural world. Being a bit of a wordsmith, finding out about this word expanded the meaning of this sense I felt, many times, in quiet places.
I live in a large city and don't leave it very often, this sense of wonder and fullness isn't something I feel very often anymore, either.
Thank you, for giving me kayf, tonight.
PS The boat is perfect, just far enough to dream about.
I like the light coming from two different directions, here. There's the moon and its reflection on the water, then there's the light coming from the right outside the frame lighting up the cliff. Very nice.
