Nile Fishing
Egypt, August 2008
It was 6 on the morning when the fisherman and his son took their bark to go fishing. They sailed smoothly into the silence of the morning to the spot where they used to put their net. The son was watching the old gestures of his dad, learning the technique coming from thousands of years.

Magnifiques couleurs de fond, comme un nuage de poudre. C'est tout en douceur, on ressent de la quiétude. Et le contraste des pécheurs avec le reflet offre une belle perspective. Comme quoi, se lever tôt ... :)
The interest for me is in the pink skyline and soft lighting, I think if you were to crop it the photograph would be focused too squarely on the obscured fisherman - the colour that makes the image so striking would be diminished.
I don't know why people feel insistent on telling others how "they" would have cropped an image. Congratulate the photographer if you feel his work is worthy of merit, otherwise hold criticisms unless explicitly asked to do otherwise. Anyone can look at a photograph and say "Hmm, looks nice, but I think it would be *so* much better if you did it my way..."
Our mission is to collect all the news releases issued every day in the world about fishing and make them available to you, when, where and the way you need them.
