A fishing trawler undergoes paint and other miscellaneous work during the last phase of the monsoon period. At this time of the year, fishing is prohibited in India as June_August is the breeding season for the fast depleting fishing stock.
This was shot in July 2008 on a fine day in Kerala at Fort Kochi.

Perfect pic...loved the framing.
Great colors, light, quality...the leaves framing from above...excellent work !
I alos like the fact that the leaves are from different trees =)
Hi there!
Great colours in this photo: the deep blue with yellow and green. I love it. Also, the lines in the sky give depth to the picture. Nice shot!
Bye! Mattijn
A beautiful shot Anoop! Re Keralaese food. We went to Kushi's, a restaurant which had been in Edinburgh for 45 years and which had been recommended to us by some Scottish-Pakistani friends. Hoever, we discovered that the recently re-furbished restaurant had burnt-down at some point in the last few months. We ended up having some nice food in a nearby Italian restaurant, that we hadn't tried before! LOL! Isn't life funny sometimes!
this is so interesting and beautiful... great colors and composition...
I think I need to learn how to lighten up those dark areas!
really beautiful...

@ Jigisha.......... Well well , a coffee table book on Kerala. The idea is cool but publishing as an industry is not doing too well specially photography books. As soon as I have an institutional client willing to pick up the entire book print order, then it is a feasible proposition..............hehhehe I am only freewheelin' here ................I am plain lazy.
@ Prasad.........Y not ? I am also a littlel daunted by the inexplicable factor in this shot. David Duchovny may be the answer.
@ Simbly Trying..........Pina Colada.....I thought you once mentioned that all highs that are spirit induced are unattainable ...now did you ? or is it my fading and warped spirited memory.
@ Selvin....................the lens is a 12-24 mm wide angle Tokina. The steadiness comes from the fact that it was tripod mounted.
